Is registration free? How does payment work?
Registration is completely free.
Payments are split into two simple steps:
- 1st payment (at time of purchase): item price + 500 JPY handling fee per order.
- 2nd payment (after item arrives at warehouse): domestic + international shipping fees.

What payment methods are available?
The following payment methods are accepted:
- Credit card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay)
- PayPal
- Alipay
Additional payment methods are available for specific countries. For the latest information, please check our payment methods page.
For purchases of 900,000 JPY or more (excluding fees), standard payment methods are not available. Buyee Wallet is required for these orders.

What happens if my item doesn't arrive or arrives damaged?
Buyee offers paid protection plans that cover incorrect items, loss, or damage during shipping.
Plans also include an inspection service to verify your item before international shipping.
- Standard Plan: inspection + insured delivery
- Insured Delivery Plan: delivery insurance only
- Inspection Plan: inspection only

What is the best way to find items on Buyee?
There are three ways to search for items on Buyee:
- Search by keyword or category directly on the Buyee site.
- Paste the URL of an item from a Japanese site to purchase directly.
- Use the 'Add to Buyee' browser extension to add items to your cart while browsing Japanese sites.
How are customs duties handled?
Customs policies vary depending on the destination country.
- United States: Customs duties are prepaid at checkout (DDP). There will be no additional delivery or surprise charges upon arrival.
- Other countries: Please refer to our FAQ page for specific regional guidelines.
